Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman was an American female gymnast who was captain for The US female Olympic gymnastics The 2012 Fierce 5 team, and in 2016. In 2016, she was part of the Final Five. In 2012 Raisman was awarded gold in the team competitions along with the floor workouts. On the balance beam, Raisman earned the bronze medal. The result made her the Olympic gymnast with the highest number of medals. At the 2016, Olympics she won a silver medal in the team event, which gave her and teammate Gabby Douglas the honour of been one of the very first Americans to have two consecutive gold medals in a team. Silver medals were also awarded at the all-around event as well as floor workouts. After the 2 Olympics she had taken an absence from competitive gymnastics to rest for three months. Additionally, she was part of the gold medal winning American teams in the two World Championships. Her first experience with gymnastics began at the age of two and she has a favorite activity floor exercise. Aly is a supporter of the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organisation in honour of her grandmother who passed away due to cancer. She plans to pursue one in the fashion industry and is looking to increase her line of signature leotards and socks in the near future. Fierce is a book that is due out later in the year.
